Here's my '72 before we began the "restoration" this summer. Trust me, you don't want to see a picture of it right now...

The Turbo belongs to my friend and former boss.

BTW to all - I once had the honor to drive Toby's yellow Carrera clone that he posted earlier. That was one of the nicest, well sorted cars I've been in. I understand why you miss her!!
Mark,

Thanks for the kind words. I really do miss that car and have been sorely tempted to buy another (albeit real this time) 74 Carrera. Almost pulled the trigger on a nice blue and gold one in Corpus Christi over the new years holiday but seller wanted too much. Oh well..... Guess I'll have to live vicariously through what you guys are driving and pull my 930 out of the garage when the pangs are REALLY strong!

BTW, when did you move to VA?

All the best,

Toby

Mamoroso, that sure doesn't look bad, though I know it's hard to tell from a picture. What a shame, and happy hunting.

Here are mine:

And another. Unfortunately, the Hellblau metallic color doesn't come through well.

Yeah, I wish I was further along on my '72 project. When all of the body work is done and it's ready for the "guts", I'd planned on shopping for such a car that has been wrecked in the front and using the motor, trans, parts of the interior, etc. to build a hot rod.

But timing is everything....

Default 74 carrera turbo, did that car come from TX?

your car looks like one that had been around Houston for years. I just missed buying it about 4 years ago for what I thought was a song.

cool car, here is mine
