Default Drove it Like I Stole it today in MICHIGAN!!

I got tired of videos, reading, etc. I woke my 911 up, after 7 weeks of single digits in the garage, started up quickley, NO smoke, no leaks, just ready , Drove 58 miles on "my circut" cold enough for little snow/wet road melt, sunny to have gotten the major itch today, only bummer is removing all the salt dust. Got lots of smiles from all the salt bathed cars driving around. Oh it felt good to get up to 140's again on the "my circut"!!!! Looks like a little while for the winter conditions to be just right to go again.
Got my fix...............

g-50cab,
I hope it rains there for a week. That is so mean to do that to us guys who live in the cold for 6 months. I am glad to hear that jmarenas got his fix for a little while. It has been hard on me as well. My 911 and 914 are just sitting and sitting and it is killing me. Soon, I hope. BEst wishes - Jay Gratton

Just ribbing you guys - I lived up north too - so I can relate. In the summer you folks will be driving with your tops down - I'll be sweltering, dodging the rain. I'm glad he got his fix too - I drove my car today as it's supposed to be 74 later today YIPPEE!

Right there with ya Jay. Here in upstate NY all I can do is wash it. Took this pic yesterday. I've titled the photo "torture."

That gives me inspiration to do the same. Haven't driven her since Christmas week. Got a Volvo station wagon that I drive alot and wash once a year if that. It doesn't have any rust anywhere. It's a 91 with 204K miles.

Jay, don't know how you do it... Course I bought my car from Chicago - Nice low mileage 87 Cab, only driven in the summer. I had a C2 Targa (1990) that as KO'd by a yellow cab a few years ago. I still miss that car.

I LOVE Baltic Blue - that was the color of my Targa. I searched in vain for another one - but they were either ragged or too expensive.

Jeremy:

I still remember when you were hit in your Targa (and the pics that went with those posts)... That sucked.

The change in seasons is good, but I've about had it with winter... I'm sick of plowing my driveway... You learn to have inside hobbies during the winter so you don't go insane.

But, there's no better feeling when that first 50 degree day hits in March.

I got my fix late last week. The roads were pretty clean, but the 2-3 inches of ice on my driveway presented a challenge. After spending two evenings busting the ice up with a sledgehammer, we made it out of the garage. It certainly felt good to get the cobwebs out. It was our first trip since New Years.
