Default High Idle Speed in 84 911 When Engine Is Warm

The idle speed of the engine in my 84 911 Carrera is fine when cold, but rises to ~2000rpm when the engine is fully warmed up. What would cause this?

You were correct! Throttle switch/relay was out of adjustment. All good now!

Throttle switches do not normally get out of adjustment. Quite often it is caused by a sticking throttle, unless of course, someone has been tampering with the switch.
