I'm going to start this by saying I have no idea what I might do if I find it. I would love to have it back, but I'll see what comes of it.
It is a 1976 grey market, euro 911 Targa, silver with cookie cutters. I bought it in 1990 in Monroe, CT. The VIN is 9116311151. I was living in New Canaan, CT when I sold it in 1999 or 2000, I don't remember exactly. It had 174289 km when I bought it. I think it had around 225000 km when I sold it. Here is a picture.
Best luck in your search. I tried to find my first SC #9119200575 I owned back in 1983-1985 but never had any luck. It would be cool to see you reunited with yours.
I just never understood these threads so I agree with OP not sure of what he would do next.
Imagine your phone ringing and some guy saying " hey I finally found you , I have been looking for 5 years for my old 911... do you want to sell it to me ? no...click..
Good luck in your search but it’s pretty difficult to get vehicle histories on vehicles without 17 digit VIN #s.
I did look look up your VIN on the NICB ( National Insurance Crime Bureau ) site and the car has never been reported stolen or has been registered with a Salvage title so hopefully it’s still around.

I know a couple people who have done this & actually been able to buy them back. One very recently that egged me on. I think I'm more curious than anything. It would be cool to see where it's at & what kind of shape it's in.
I don't really have the space for another car & certainly should not be spending money on another car!
