Default 1999 996 3.4 Engine Tick Help

High milage on the 911 (93k). Engine has been ticking and not sure what it is. Videos and other posts suggest a mirad of possibilities. Suggestions where to start? Praying it's not the Piston slap and require a rebuild...obviously. Any hope it could be hydraulic, water pump or other? No loss of power and tick matches engine until higher rpm when the tick either goes away or the ticking frequency just gets drowned out...not sure. Here's a video. Poor quality I know. It was a cold and snowy evening. https://youtu.be/zLtAflKljuQ

My turn.

You should post this in the water-cooled, 996-specific forum where you're likely to find more people with 996 experience. This forum is for 1989 and older air-cooled 911 cars.

Good luck.
