Default Before & After new wheels

Just a few before & after pictures of my new Cup Alloys.
I know I should have gone for Fuchs for originality but I really like the look
of 17" cups.
A definate improvement over the teledial wheels though!

Those look great, but to my eye they are slightly out of place on your car. Fuchs w/polished paddles and lips w/black background would be so nice with that color. different strokes.

P.S. looks very good though

I agree Fuchs would look cool too, perhaps a couple of sets of wheels is the answer!
Might look out for some Fuchs then I can swap them round for a change.

The original Teledial wheels & tyres I took off this car (German supplied & based until 99) seemed to be very narrow for the age of 911.
Was it normal for the standard SC wheels to be so skinny! The 195X15 front & 215X15 rear left the car very under-tired IMO!

My replacement 225 front & 255 rear fill out the arches nicely.

Maybe it's the angle of the picture, but it lookes like a Baja-prepped rally car. it's raised!

Doug,

I like the change. I had to make a wheel change on my '87, although I switched from 16" BBS wheels to 17" Cups. I love the difference. Pic below.

I like phonedials on the 944's, but they just don't make it for me on 911's.

Perhaps 16" Fuchs with body-coloured centers? I think that would be nice. BTW, I don't believe that the late-model directional wheels are called Cups...

I think you're right as far as Porsche are concerned, my wheels actually have "cup 3" stamped on the inside which is probably Mille Miglia, the Italian manufacturer's, name for them.

I've heard them called "Turbo Doglegs" too!

This picture is a better angle!

I was wondering if it needs lowering?

Nice car, however I like the original Fuchs in black with chrome rings (don't know if said that right - the factory ones). Personally, I'm not into chrome, however I know many are. I think it takes away from the car as you tend to focus first on the wheels. I like the cars lines the best. You have a beautiful car so why move the focal point? That's only my opinion and you know what they say about opinions. The bottom line is it's your car and what you think looks good is all that matters...
