Greetings fellow Porsche nuts!
I have bought a new set of "shoes" for my baby (carrera coupe 88). Now these tyres have different prod. dates and the front set has 1½ years between them.... Will this become a problem, does one perform better than the other in, say, an emergency braking situation... than could end very wrong then...
And how about age, one will age before the other?? (That will NOT be a problem on the rears
))
Thanks for any qualified replies,
Best,
Peter, `88 carrera coupe, felsengrün metallic. <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[burnout]" />

Hello Peter
Well, it is not recomended to use different ages tyres at the road for your safety.More even in a car like Porsche.I suggest to remove it at the first change and to go for a brand new set.

Hunter 993 TT

Another thought to keep in mind on the fronts, since they last longer, is that Porsche doesn't recommend you drive on tires older than 6 years old.
