Default Question RE how to find out how many cars made

I am interested in buying a newer 911 targa and holding for potentially an investment. Question is there a way to find out how many cars with certain specs that porsche built in particular year? Example, how many manual transmission targa sin say 2015 were produced...that kind of info?

try the water cooled forum, we are air-cooled here, old cars,.
not sure buying a 2015-18 (unless it's a seriously limited edition short production run car) and holding it for 25-30 years will replicate the monetary gains seen by the air-cooled cars, seriously no one predicted it, like the stock market with a lot more volatility, if you can predict a big bang then you have a crystal ball, no one has a crystal ball.

Question

A 2015 targa is now considered an investment?

Buy the car to drive and enjoy- invest in real-estate and the stock market.

I think that will be a huge depreciating asset as they make more and newer ones.

that is exactly what the 356 guys said about the 911

in 1964, 65

the lowest build #s will be for the 'capstone' special models they make at the end of life of a design - 997 Sportster, etc. I would not buy a new one hoping it will appr. tho - maybe wait while prices decline for used then buy if you think it will do better that an ETF
