Default Brake light switch question...

I've read up here that the part is 2-pronged, and also is the same VW bugs use ...found it cheap on ebay. But then I look on Pelican and Vertex's site and both these sites show a 3 prong?!! What gives? I just want the right switch for my 82SC ...what's up, gents ...steer me right. TIA!!

Anyone? 2-pole or 3?

I just replaced mine in my '76 and it was a 2 prong.

I just replaced these on my ’87, the parts look-up said 3 pole, but they were actually 2 pole. The VW part will fit, but it has a little ‘divider’ tab between the two connectors, so you have to grind down that little tab with a Dremel.
