the windows in my 89 carrera go up very slowly, why?

Assuming the regulators, tracks are ok, the motors are probably shot. I've had to replace the motors on a few of my cars with the same or similar symptoms. The job isn't too difficult and the motors are about $150 ea. The Bentley manual or the 101 projects book are good sources for the procedure.
