Do the 930 valve covers fit on all 911 motors (or just the aluminum ones 3.0L +)? Any mods needed to fit these on a 2.7? Is the intended benefit that they are stiffer and leak less?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Grant......I put the 930 covers on my 74 911 2.7. Fit was perfect with no mods required, and no leaks after because the 930 version doesn't warp like the 'regular' ones.

Hi Grant:
I assume you mean the lower covers. I have them on my '70 and they fit just fine. Don't use any sealant or you'll never get them off. (I know it's tempting)
The covers are stiffer and resist warping. I also use the REAL silicone (lifetime)
gaskets from Performance Products. They can be used over and over and will reduce or eliminate leaks. Just don't over-tighten them. It only takes about 6lbs
of torque. About $69 for the gaskets. Shop around for the covers, all the suppliers have them.
