I have a 911 SC 3.0 -79 european model and 165000km in this machine.
I wondering about turbocharging or Supercharging, can I buy kits to my SC?
How much will they cost?, I know 964s have these kits available.
180HP and 260NM is not enouh and DONīT tell me to buy a another car.

This is my car but unfornately only in Swedish and are there any swedes in Rennlist?
A very excellent list and Iīll be a member soon!

One thing to consider is the stresses either a turbocharger or supercharger put on an engine. You have an engine with 165000 km or roughly 100K miles. While the SC engine is strong, you're well into it's usable-pre-rebuild life. You'd hate to add a supercharger and shortly thereafter have to invest 103,000 Krona in an engine rebuild after something blew up. You might want to look into what Porsche did differently on the 930 Turbo engine to aide reliability. You might also consider an engine transplant - a 3.6L engine in the light SC chassis would be a significant improvement and you'd retain reliability.

As Bill Gregory has written, "a 3.6L engine in the light SC chassis would be a significant improvement." You are looking at about $8,000 for the engine, maybe more for a Vario-Ram, 95 and later engine.
The SSIs and Bursch muffler will give you about 20 HP and 20 ft pounds of torque. You are looking at about $1,200 for the complete set up, + installation.
As Bill will tell you, there is no cheap way to ramp up HP and torque without going to an engine swap. Good luck with the project.

There is a number of things you can do to the SC engine that are outlined in Bruce Andersons - The Porsche 911 Performance Handbook. This ranges from replacing the exhaust system to doing engine work. If you were to replace the exhaust with an earlier style SSI and add in a k&n air filter and a few other upgrades you would get a nice power upgrade.
