The wheels are 6X15 and 7X15 Fuchs, original equipment in excellent condition.
I am looking for the largest possible wheel and tire combo for track use. I will keep the fuchs for street use.
Anyone have a recommendation for wheels and tires for the track?
I have the original headlight rings, but I am not sure they fit the new H4's. I agree regarding the chrome.

Than,
Nice looking example of the Carrera, congratulations. Were you able to locate your paint code and confirm its color? Curious as to whether the color is Ruby Red Metalic (810) or the Kiln Red Metalic (811).

Wheels and Tires for Track - I would look for some 16 x 7 and 16 x 9 fuchs for the track or search for some BBS wheels - same size. I run 225/50/16's front on my Carrera - on the rear 245/45/16's rear - I know of many who have up to 265/275's on the rear with little modification.
I do have 16 x 8's on the front - but they are the 951 8's. Regular 911 8's have the wrong offset.

The setup you have sounds familiar and I am interested in increasing front tire size...
Thanks

Beautiful car. Enjoy! It may be the reflection, but on your fourth photo, it looks like the door is a different color ("colour" for our UK friends) than the rear quarter. Just the light?
Regardless, I love the setup and look of the car. Have fun at the track.

Here's a great page by a fellow rennlister with part #'s and offsets:
http://members.rennlist.org/911pcars/WheelWts.html
My 951 8's have a 23.3 offset as opposed to the 10.6 of the 911 8's part # for the 951 8's is: 951.362.117.00
You can buy the 9x16 new - places like wheel enhancement have them - or peruse the turbo boards as the turbo guys typically put bigger rubber on their car and their old fuchs (9x16 in this case) are gathering dust in their garage.
For the 225's in front I had to roll my fenders - still need to lower my car - I'll do that in the spring.
