Ask for Juan. Tell him you have "aftermarket" Bilsteins that need to be revalved. They do not revalve their OE shocks.

Hey Guys- quick question...I have a 1984 911 Carrera Coupe and I want to do a front strut brace. Can one of you send some pictures and suggestions? I am looking for a simple functional install that i can do myself or maybe have a shop do the install. This is a street car. Is it worth the upgrade? What can I expect? Thanks for you help.
hello, I too have an 84 911 carrera coupe and have been considering a strut brace. Have you done so and if so noticed any pros or cons?

There is a story somewhere on the web where a guy is building a 911 and he measured the additional support a front strut brace add and conclusion was that it’s not adding any real benefit.
In the US you are extremely eager to find expensive solutions to non existing problems.
The strut brace add a nice place to dry shop towels, that’s all.

I'll repeat my testing again when my car is driveable again but I would spend money on something else first
Strut braces offer more value on front engines cars with coilovers in my opinion.

Yes, 911 RSRs had a strut brace from tower to tower, but on welded brackets. And then later they developed an x-brace that triangulated from the towers to the front of the car.

Bingo! So the factory thought they were not needed on street cars - at the time and using methods available to them then (note they used wool tufts and watchers on freeway overpasses to study aerodynamics back in the day too).
I have also never seen a test that was done properly on the internet.
OTOH, I would go with Chuck's thoughts Elephant Racing - and use his modular diagonal brace.
FWIW, I have a tie bar type on my car, but it was cheap and I got in the last century...
