Default 915 Hydraulic Clutch Conversion

I PRESENTLY OWN AN 84' EURO CAB AND WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE HAS ATTEMPTED TO CONVERT IT TO A HYD. CLUTCH SYSTEM? Oops stuck in caps lock...I don't mean going completly over to a g50 ,but just get rid of the cable setup...Comments?/advisements...

Hi Russ:

Well sir,.............its just unfeasable and not really necessary. Its quite expensive to do unless one is using a racing-type multiplate clutch.

915-equipped cars do have a heavy clutch, but you should check out EVERY part of the system as you might have some broken helper springs or a bad cable that is making this worse than normal.

The cable setup, when in good condition, is quite durable and the effort isn't bad at all,....

Thanks again Steve...it was just a thought.
Buy the way I checked under the car with a mirror and found the large ribbed valve covers on the bottom . If i'm correct from what you told me...these ARE the turbo covers . Correct? They are NOT leaking at this time... The more I'm learning about thers vehicles...The better I'm feeling about my purchase!

Yessir, those are indeed, Turbo covers.

BTW, if you do a short shift kit, use the Factory one.
