So I found a guy who is willing to drive down to houston to do it. Located in dallas.
He charges ~500 in dallas but since he is driving down it might be closer to 700-800? He will bring the machines needed except the air compressor.
if we can find a place with a lift and an air compressor (~250 bucks a day), it's doable.

I am in The Woodlands and might be interested in this depending on price and timing. Hit me up.

We can rent this space for around 40 an hour. so 8 hours x 40 = 320
Compressor ..say 300 for the day.
Personal/dry ice - 800
= ~1420
Not outrageous, it would def help if we had another person to split the cost with.

I have used it a few time, it worked fantastic at removing road grime, grease and gunk that had collected during my project car's life....took it right down to clean paint and was very, very nice.
When I realized that I would have to repaint, I went back to have him remove the paint, ideally leaving most of the factory primer on...and he tried, but he said that the paint was too hard and the process too slow for him to do a whole car economically. Apparently the dry ice does not erode healthy paint all that well and does not really remove rust. We tested a fender and while it was nice, he basically declined and I bead blasted the car down to metal.

Who is doing it in Houston? They don’t have their own equipment?

I had a complete dry ice blasting underside restoration done by Der Saubermacher in Stuttgart before leaving Germany in 2017. Phenomenal results. My underside was trashed from 26 years of driving and three years of driving in the snow and salt. They did a complete dry ice restoration and the car looked like it came out of the factory. They do about 20 911s a year and do the work for Porsche Classic. If you can find a good shop in the US, I recommend it. They disassembled the entire underside of the car, dry ice blasted it, then re-painted and protected everything. Very happy with it.

Also down in Houston - would be interested in finding a reputable source / shop as well. I have a lift, so if there is rentable equipment that would be great too
