Beautiful work you are doing and I wouldn't consider that a "Mild" restoration
I love that slate blue color too!

I just purchased a 1980 911sc silver/black and the original Sport Seats have blue plaid inserts from the factory which is what I was told from the long time owner.
I currently have my car at my indy shop Aker's Porsche here in Seattle and they have never seen blue plaid before in there 50 years of business.
Do you know if they show blue paid in any of your interior books?

All the best!

I've been delayed with new business interests, the car is at the final assembly stage. The drive train and glass are back in just final assembly and details at this point. I will post full pictures when she's done in a few weeks.

Thanks,

JF

Here is a link to the interior color options from 1980, if you magnify the picture it looks like top right might be the same as your.

Finally got some time to work on my SC, the external oil system is installed. I have to say that installing the tank was a huge PIA with a new seal.

Wow! Unreal! How long did it take you to put it together?

The whole oil system probably about 8 hours, as you can see I've left nothing alone on the car. It takes hours to get everything to line up correctly with multiple fittings to make it look original. I had the tank in and out probably 10 times to get it to line up with the new seal. Getting the main hard oil lines to the front cooler installed was no walk in the park either. Fortunately my wife is very patient and helpful.
