Default 2018 Targa 4S or 2018 Turbo

Contemplating..spec'd a well equipped 4S Targa but for about the same price, should I rather get a Turbo?

Interested in practicality of driving either on suburban USA roads, (usability), fun factor and depreciation.

Thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks

I don't think those models are air-cooled.

Try 991 forum in the "water pumpers" area.

Then again, perhaps your subconscious is telling you something. The 2018s will depreciate in the first two or three years what it would take to buy a classic 911 - which won't depreciate. Just as special, too, or more.

+1. How about a 997.2 TT and a very nice air-cooled, for the same total money. No brainer.

You're going to lose around 30%-40% value on both those vehicles after 3 years. Look into a GT3 with sofas (CPO .1 since the .2 are pretty much sold out) More fun to drive and depreciation is minimal.

Personally, I get a Targa 4S.

I read somewhere that Porsche would sell as many new GT3s as needed to meet demand. Maybe something to do with the VW clusterf@&$.

Between the Targa and the Turbo I would definitely go with the latter. The new Targa for me is a little too much like a transformer toy.

Quick Reply: 2018 Targa 4S or 2018 Turbo
