Oh my, nossir. Its all in the material that Porsche used for guide material.

As another data point, we've used our own phosphorus-bronze guides for many many years and the viton seals. I've not seen any increase in valve stem wear from using this harder, longer lasting material and seals that do a good job of controlling oil consumption and wear......
