That's brand new. It's still covered in cosmoline gunk. Looks like it's been mismatched since 1975 when it was made. Yes, dogs come on gears, always.

BTW, you got a screaming deal. I used to get NOS mainshafts out of Germany and that's below my cost. If you bought one of the ones I manufacture it would cost you twice what you paid for that part.
