Hi Ivan, question,
I see where the left and right vacuum hoses attach, t firing and right side canister in
pictures below. What about the larger center hose? I see some kind of port deep in the engine under the injection but I doubt it can reach there. I have searched and don't see anywhere else??

Hi Ivan, yes in the last photo I posted, the center vacuum hose, the larger one. I couldn't find anywhere to attach it, the length wasn't sufficient to attach to anything that was near by. I left it unattached. Engine is now back in the car. The tranny mounts were a pain but I finally got the bolts in. Will get the rest completed and fresh oil today. I'll let you know how it turns out. Thanks

Hi Ivan, took a spin yesterday but forgot to install the sway bar. Will install that today. I only had 3rd-5th gear. Got back and made the adjustment from an online video and now how 5 gears. Runs well so far. Thanks

Hi Ivan,
Learned a lot for sure. Car is running strong and new clutch feels great. Any specific adjustment to the shift linkage you recommend?
Thanks

adjusting that coupler to me is more art than skill, if you have all your gears and you are not " catching " any going from gear to gear you are good. you have to be patient and make small adjustments if it isn't right.

don't forget to periodically check and retourque CV joint bolts. Also make sure your throw is exactly one inch on your clutch so you don't over actutate it. ( there was evidence of this on your housing )

other than that great Job Randy , glad it all worked out for you and you are once again motoring along. you now have some garage art too.

did you go with the aluminum pressure plate ? or the iron one ?

yes, check and retorque CV joint bolts (be sure not to misspell) after inspection of the wrenching fixture and the threads

install after cleaning male & female threads with brake cleaner

do NOT reuse Schnorr washers - buy new ones

use the moon plates - add them if bean counters deleted them on your MY

check torque after 100 miles

Just to confirm we are talking about the same thing Randy, the clutch throw is not the 1mm measurement. it is when someone presses the clutch your distance travel at any given point on the cable is 25mm. ( its adjusted at the floor board. )

I was referring to the 1mm gap at the small arm.
It feels good now but what do you mean adjust at the pedal?

The pedal board. The clutch stop to stop your clutch pedal going too far.

I have the clutch stop on the pedal board and no issues there. My clutch pedal is still not even with the brake pedal. Is that normal or not adjusted correctly. Shifting feels fine and gear grinding. Shifts in all gears. Thanks
