I installed a Monte dual out on my SC and am concerned about the heat to the bumper area just above the tips. Frequent washing/cleaning eliminates the dark color, but is there some kind of heat resistant material that I can place between the exhaust tip and the rear valence to protect the paint?

Have had no problems with heat....

Are you sure the dark color you are removing is heat related? I would think what you are removing is exhaust residue.
