Default Console switch for Fan mods?

Planning to do a fan mod for both engine and radiator fans.
Can anyone suggest a console switch?

If you want to use a OEM tip switch and relays then the footwell light switch is the way to go.

I just bought mine at The Source (RadioShack) and modified the batwing to mount them.

It's not the most attractive set up, but it's very functional.

All the switches on the center of the dash (i.e. PSM, Defroster, Heated Seats) and referred to as TIP switches. They are not on/off switches but rather work through relays. The Footwell light switch is another of this type of switch, fits in the horseshoe and batwing slots, and looks OEM. It was a switch for "footwell lights" that was and option, but not seen on many cars. It has a light symbol and an actual light in it to show if it is on or not. Sorry I don't have a picture of this switch handy. I have used them for a few DIY's. I have one to toggle through the OBC functions (until I finally get around to installing the 4 stalk switch on the steering column). On this one I also modified it so the the light goes on when my spoiler is up (through the DIY dash spoiler switch I did) and have one waiting in the batwing position for the fan switch.

I you want to pursue this option I can find the instructions for the switch, relays, etc.

Thanks, I saw your previous post on the footwell switch and wiring. Seems that a latching relay is a must when we use a tip switch. May be a simple toggle will be the easiest route for me.

Quick question, from your .pdf in your post, should I be using the PIN 5 on the latching relay for the "switched gnd" output for the fan mod? Did you tap into the other tip switches for the 12v and LED?

Sorry I am out of town riding the Harley for a three day weekend. I will follow-up when I get back.

I put two switches in the bat wing. One is for the radiator fans, the other the engine fan (which I don't have installed at the moment). Here are some photos. I believe the switches were purchased from AutoZone.
