I got the turbo s duct but my bodyshop won't paint it since it's a small piece...go figure...anyway, maybe there are RListers that are good at stuff like this?

Purchase the correct color from Paintscratch.com. Once you have it, myself and others here would gladly walk you through the steps.

I painted a set of brake ducts and the inside of my fogs. The results very fantastic.

Im going over to a freinds shop today and we are going to paint the rockers on his new Nissan GTR today. Its this a trusting friend or what?

Ive painted just about every panel on my race car and Im all self taught. Make mistakes along the way, sand paper can fix a lot of stuff. Start over enough and you finally get it figured out. If you can get a mentor that knows their stuff then that will help your learning curve on bigger projects. A small project like yours is very simple...

I will give bumperplug a call to see if they can do it. I try to DIY as much as I can but I've never had any experience with any bodywork and wouldn't want to be the culprit that ruins the car's good looks.

I have some experience with touch up painting.

Best bet to get it done cheap and quick would take a trip to the back lot of a large high volume new car dealer in your area. 1 - 2 days a week a guy will be on the lot fixing cars for resale. Call the service shop to find when they will be on the lot. Make friends with him and he will spray it for you for $30 -$ 40 or so. Maybe cheaper. He can mix it on the spot. If you are like me and want to do it your self go to the paint store and buy 1/4 pint of matching paint for $30. They will probably mix a little clear for you for $5 - $10 and spray it your self. I have found that a airbrush works well on small jobs versus a full spray can.

I am new to Porsche cars and a word of caution. The clear coat on these cars seems to be very thin compared to BMW's I have owned.

I don't know about other model years of the 993, but my GR 95 has no clear coat. From what I understand that was a decision Porsche made for one or more years on the 993.

Depends what color your 993 is. GR was no clear for 95 model year and clear 96 and up I believe. Riviera Blue is another no clear color for 95.
