Vancouver Island Spyder
So we started introductions on Sunday morning at our Porsche Club's Cars and Coffee, we had my Spyder and 2 GT'4 in attendance, a cool chance for the gang to poke about and ask questions, interest was high and there were lots of compliments. Afterwards although we had a chance to go on a spirited drive we opted for a more leisurely pace through town down to Beach drive so we could take a few shots near the Oak Bay Marina and Royal Victoria Yacht Club before returning home. Today I will be dropping of the Spyder for a complete Xpel wrap and Clearplex on the windshield, then she will be ready to hit the open road!

I think having the black handles breaks up the door visually. Colour coded handles keeps the door more seamless visually and as a result makes the doors look deeper. Deeper doors / higher belt line makes for a more aggressive look for any car; Corolla to Carrera.
Chalk is a good GT colour. Has a level specialness to it when you see one in the wild. Makes me question my CWM choice frequently.

Regarding the door handles, I understand what you're saying, but there are the black side scoops in this case. I would not have opted for the black handles on a 991.2 GT3, for example, because the side of the car is cleaner.

@sansan Congrats on the Spyder, nice colour BTW!
Tell us more, when did you order, was it delayed a bit or right on time?

I didn't order it. It was an available unit. Close enough in spec to what I had ordered at my local dealer but my allocation wasn't confirmed yet. I had ordered mine with a black roof, but figured it will be stowed most of the time anyways. Red is different and I think still works pretty well with the combination of steel brakes and the Porsche Classic Interior option.

(sees you're in Michigan) - Hopefully we have some good weather coming up here to actually be able to drive it

I am a big fan of the 981 in Sport Classic Grey. That's as close to a perfect Spyder as exists in my opinion. To me, for my needs, even more so than the 718. If the stock wheels were a tad better on the 981 there would be no improving on that spec with Sport Classic Grey.
You said "had"... what became of this car?
