Default New Centerlock III maintenance after HPDE

My 2024 GT4RS was delivered with the new Centerlock IIIs. There are plenty of guides and youtubes on maintenance for the two piece Centerlock IIs but I cannot find anything on maintenance on the IIIs. The owners manual (Pg232) only advises that the cone ring must "turn without great resistance or jerking". It does not advise how to disassemble the central bold for re-greasing. All the other guidance for lubing the threads and the wheel are the same as the Centerlock IIs.

Anyone have the maintenance procedure and the tools required? With changing the wheels after HPDE, I don't know how the lube stands up to the heat or if I should expect to rebuild after each HPDE weekend

@caymanpyrat I just posted an answer to this (with manual) at Post #39 here: https://rennlist.com/forums/992-gt3-...-improved.html

@GrantG

Thank you!

I am a centerlock layman who did make some preparations by purchasing the huge torque wrench, the grease, breaker bar adapter, etc.

A few questions:
1) Do I assume correctly that the centerlocks on 991+ and 718 RS cars are the Gen3 or III centerlocks? If not, please correct.
2) Dumb question, but just to confirm - the manual pages you posted apply to 718 Spyder RS without any exceptions?

That manual is from CL2 (991.2 GT3), but there is no significant difference (other than the locking mechanism stays attached on the CL3). I think any Centerlock made in late 2021 or newer is CL3 (says “Centerlock III” right on it if you’re unsure.

typically you do not "regrease" the CL (center bolt) only the contact surfaces on the wheel and the edge/circumference of the CL itself ...

Incorrect. Manual states to do the threads as well.

never did me any harm not doing so ... but what I was referring to was the safety interlock mechanism.
