Could be as Porsche is pretty quick to remedy the situation when a customer inquires about a buyback. They offered to re-purchase my Boxster 25 for a leaking fuel line shortly after picking it up. Purchased it in Miami and drove it all the way back to Boston not realizing gas was dribbling on the exhaust and passenger’s rear wheel. Very fortunate it did not catch on fire on the 1,550 mile ride home or once in my garage. Car was in for service to address the issue for 6-8 weeks. I ultimately kept the car and accepted a monetary gift instead of a buyback for the downtime.
