Porsche is struggling so hard lately. I hope their build quality doesn't get sacrificed.
I'm going out on a limb and saying their hi level of build quality is the 991.2 cars / pre covid.
Not really a way to measure this but since i have a 2018 GT3 I would like to think that was PEAK build quality
Agree. I worry about this too. And not just with GT cars. I am looking at possibly the new Cayenne GTS, but am concerned over this issues you just mentioned. My other choice to consider is an Audi RSQ8, but orders are on hold for that too due to production delays with the 4.0 TT engines. What is going on?
My car started right before yours on 4/12. Original end of production was scheduled for 5/3, but midway through production the end day was changed to 5/17 and now 6/7.
I'm not sure what to make of it. Technically, my car started production a week before yours, all of your chosen option categories (including PTS) are shared with my SRS except LWBs.
I can't imagine that it is the sofa seats that are holding up my car??
Did you choose the hood full painted (me) or with the two big CF strips? Spyder top with red accents, colored wheels (neodyme), accent package logos, FAL, window triangle trim in CF, PCCB in black?
I'm trying to figure out if there is a common denominator with all the Spyder RS cars that have been delayed.
According to my dealer all of there GT cars are delayed and they dont know why .... My GT4RS was scheduled for June 12 delivery and it is pushed back to August 19 delivery as of today. Started production on 4/24 and its built minus whatever parts they are waiting for but who knows

The red one is obviously missing at least painted front fender.
I'll take a guess that all SRS in the picture that are not completely wrapped for transport are cars waiting for something.

is this port Emden? Volkswagen Export Schedule (pwl) has not been updated for a month… no June schedule, I tried emailing them but no reply
My GT4RS so far is right on schedule.. before production was predicting July 2 delivery.. just got picked up by ship 3 days ago and should be docking June 20/22.. haven't heard any news from my local dealer about any other Spyder RS/GT4RS delays.. hopefully everyone else here will get there's on the way soon!

is your estimated delivery date in TYD a date or date range?
When I posted above was BEFORE pick up Emden.. just loaded ship 5/31..and should be in Houston by same date above.. TYD is suddenly posting dates way off.. BOTH my GT4RS and Boxster GTS 4.0 suddenly showed delivery to dealer in August GT4RS/October BGTS... even though one on ship almost home and one in PRODUCTION.. everyone on other threads noticing same TYD date change.. don't pay attention to the DATE RANGE..... these are just estimates usually based on MONDAY or FRIDAY dates.. once one milestone passes you have an idea on how long till next step.. especially after production has started or DONE.. if you have a hiccup usually occurs during production OR waiting to leave facility and get to port/on ship..
Gotten any updates on yours? Mine was on this voyage as well but TYD has not updated for me yet, still shows the car at sea.
No update, but I know the shipped docked in Jacksonville last week and offloaded as it is now in the Gulf of Mexico. I assume they will be processing and it should hit the system soon.
