OK, 8 pages read, I see that you are leaving BC Fabs behind and trying out a Kline SS system, I will be interested in hearing the report back on how it sounds!

Exhaust tone, volume and characteristics are so personal, I hope that Kline becomes your new sweet spot.

Thanks for your input. I was led to believe by a couple of threads here (maybe misconstrued by me) that the BC Fabs rear muffler alone was free of drone. The Manufacturer never mentioned it and it didn’t occur to me to ask that question.

The rear muffler is offered as a stand alone solution to improve low rpm sound and is their most popular exhaust in the UK/EU where OPFs are monitored. I concluded rather hastily that it was the least invasive and benign way to improve sound but I was incorrect in my assessment. I liked the deep tone so was swayed by that as well.. But the bass-heavy resonance is increasingly intolerable so I decided to abandon my BC Fabs experiment and order the Kline. Perhaps another hasty decision but I can barely tolerate driving my car now.

A rather roundabout way of answering the question of why I was asking about emissions.

You’re going to like the sound of the Kline once it is installed. It’s also pretty nice to look at too. #ExhaustPorn.

I can’t wait either. Hahaha. I have retrogressed from , “I like this exhaust, sounds like my 981, transformative, a little boomy but nice etc.” to “ it is intolerable at low rpms” in three weeks.
If the Kline isn’t boomy at low revs, I am pretty sure I will like it. Expensive lesson.

Sorry feeling lazy, you're installing on a 4RS?

Boxster 25. The GTS version with bling.

From all the very helpful input here I can conclude the following.
If buying BC Fabs, buy the muffler AND the OPF delete link pipes. In stainless steel, cost is about $ 8k (muffler + heat shielded & resonated OAPs). Even though they sell the muffler by itself for $ 4.3k, it is boomy at low revs and my tolerance for it is low. Others may disagree.

Kline is sold with rear muffler + OAPs as a set. My cost was $5.6k. So the better value proposition.

BC Fabs is on the loud side of sound spectrum so if one is looking for an aggressive and loud exhaust with a deep tone, that is the choice. For macho men and masochists.

Kline (I am told) is not so loud and has a higher-pitched tone. Maybe meant for wimps like me and girls.
