Question GTS Wheel Weights and Durability

Finally got my allocation for a 24 CGTS, and I think I've settled on the following build code:

But I'm wavering a bit between the 20" Carrera Sport Wheels in satin black as opposed to the 20" 911 Turbo Wheels in my configuration. I was curious if anyone has accurate info on the weights of the Standard Wheels vs the Carrera Sports vs the 911 Turbos.

As for durability, I'm assuming that since the 911 Turbo Wheels are the only ones which are forged that they should be the strongest and most resistant to pothole damage. Any feedback on this?

Lastly, I like to keep my cars in great shape and clean so I'll be taking it directly for paint correction, full PPF, and ceramic, exterior and interior. I know the Carrera Sport Wheels should be easier to clean than the 911 Turbo Wheels, but I assume with ceramic coating and a proper brush they shouldn't be too bad. Anyone have experience with this? Thanks!

OEM wheels in general are very durable. I would not base your decision on which you think will withstand potholes the best. I'd say they will all hold up.
The actual weight of the wheels is not something I can speak to...
I do think the Turbo wheels look really nice and I'd absolutely option those over the standard wheels.
And yes cleaning the turbo wheels will take a bit more time. Worth it in my opinion. You may want to also consider swapping the OEM pads (which dust a lot) to a low dust pad which will cut down a lot on effort to clean. I swapped to Hawk Performance Ceramic Pads on mine almost immediately and am very happy with them for road use.

Here's the thread I created... https://rennlist.com/forums/718-gts-...amic-pads.html
These part numbers are for a Spyder though.

Only adivice is don't get satin finish. I have the standard wheels in satin platinum and the non-smooth matte finish attracts stains and brake dust. I'm considering clear coating them.

Did you have a ceramic coating done when new?

Interesting that the front weights are all identical and that the turbo wheels are not the lightest overall.

This is what I found on Rennlist a long time ago for stock GTS 4.0 wheel weight:

F: 23.2lbs
R: 25.6 lbs

They're slightly lighter than the GT4 ones since they're 0.5" narrower in the rear.

Counterpoint: 12K miles on my Satin Platinum wheels, and I have zero regrets or complaints with them! The car isn't a daily-driver, but it does see 3-5 track days a year. (I'm already on my second set of stock brake pads.) I use Griot's wheel cleaner, and Griot's Ceramic AIO wax (twice a year). Pictures speak for themselves. Except for a few chips and scratches where the wheels were impacted by rocks or debris, they are still new looking.

I'm a bit OCD

I have same issue on motorcycle with matte black wheels.

Apex clear brushed on my want list!
