I was curious to see if anyone has recently taken delivery of, or has a car ready to be shipped from Emden, with the painted stripe on the hood and the Weissach Package.I’m highly considering the WP + striped hood, but if it takes 3-4 months extra for the hood and wing to be painted, I will happily save $15k and go with the non-WP option. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of an exposed carbon hood, so it’s either no WP or WP with a painted stripe on the hood.

Would love to know about any delays you experienced if you've recently received your car (no CXX, selectable from the configurator). Thank you in advance!

My GT4RS just finished production this week (no CXX options). PTS which requires WP and i added the stripe to the order. The car was almost 3 months in production, but i have no evidence that it was either the WP or the striped hood causing the delay since other cars also encountered delays.
I think the question for you is whether the WP gives you personally enough for the amount of money you spend. Predicting the production duration, given all the issues with logistics, supply chain issues, wars in Europe and the Arabic peninsula, the wrong chip issue is like reading tea leaves....

I’m not recent but can confirm delay was real. Got my production shot on July 6th in TYD. Car left the port in late Oct. I love the stripe. Not as much carbon and helps differentiate from the GT4s

My 4RS PTS with hood stripe started production a couple days ago.

I will keep updated as to when It finishes but I'm not expecting any delays. Estimated build time is 3 weeks at the moment.

My WP PTS with stripe car started production 12/20/2023 and was scheduled to finish production 1/19/2024. I’ve had multiple notices of delay and Monday I was informed that instead of 3/8 it is now 3/22 for production complete, so I’m late over two months and counting…..I’m not sure what the holdup is but there are a number of us on the forum with similar original dates as mine that are all now showing 3/22. I’m aware of all the potential holdups so it could be any of them or all of them. Who knows, but I would still order the car the same way. It will be worth it.

My Non-PTS Weissach with the stripe was built in a month….12/20-1/20/2024 and shipped to the US.

I am surprised the owners who had their cars delivered hasn't responded here yet lol.

I took delivery of my car mid February, 2024. Hood/Wing Stripe (former CXX) with Arctic Grey when I failed to get PTS for my allocation.

Car started production end of June, 2023. Car finished on the assembly line middle of July, 2023 but car didn't finish production until December 4th, 2023. I knew from the 4RS delivery thread there were (on RL anyway) 5 people in front of me and all were in the same position with CXX hood/wing stripe. Due to our production numbers, I known I was last in that line so, when they (5 of them) finished in front of me, then my car was done. I did not take delivery until middle of February, 2024. It sat at port Emden for I think close to a month.

So... unless Porsche figured out a way to speed up the process, you may or may not wait that long.

I decided not to do the stripe, didn’t want to risk potential 2-3 months delay as there are some track and car events I want to attend in August-September time frame and my ETA is already Late June Early July. That being said, thank you everyone for the feedback!

Super excited to take the delivery of the car in a few months.

I wouldn't try to predict deliveries for track days. Been there done that. Just order the car you want an wait for it. This will make you happier in the long run.

I got the WP with painted stripe on the hood and wing. Delivery got delayed by 3 months. It’s worth the wait. Just stay the course.

Update:
My 4RS PTS started production 12 March and finished 27 March.
It was released for transport at the port 4 April.

So no delay currently for cars made in Osnabruk it seems.

Pretty fast turn around really...

That is not the norm, there's quite a few RS that got at least around 2 months delay after production finished, even when they started production before yours (no PTS and no stripe, just WS)

I added the stripe build was delayed by 5 weeks at first, but last week TYD had updated and my build returned back to a week earlier than before the stripe so draw your own conclusions
