Default Tire dressing

What brand do you folks find that has a decent life? The brand I am using now looks great when applied but in as little as an hour it leaves my tires with a dull look.
TIA,
Pat D

Was using Ammo Mud for years. Good product.

I don't get blown away by products easily, but CarPro Darkside I've been really happy with. Applied it two or three times this season, over the course of 2k miles. Has a clean look, didn't notice any sling, can re-apply just frequently enough where I feel like I'm getting that time with my car that I enjoy when it comes to detailing. It will be what I'm using for years going forward.

Side note, I've tried so many different tire gels (probably 20+ over the years).

I like this. Water based, doesn't sling, and satin finish.

My tires don't last long enough to need dressing.

There are just so many products out there and some of it depends what level of shine you want. I think more important is to use a good rubber cleaner on your tires. I use Griot's Rubber Cleaner to really get out embedded brake dust before applying a tire dressing. I top it off with Lithium Wheely Great. Some of the thicker products and gel type stuff will spray up onto the sides of your car when you drive.

While I love the look of tire dressings, I use it very sparingly, and make sure it stays on the sidewalls only. The worse thing is getting your tires looking all shiny/satiny, then going for a drive and taking that first corner and realizing you have no front end grip and understeer

Yes, prep is key. I use Gyeon tire cleaner. I'm sure Griots is great too.

Yep. I actually think using a proper rubber cleaner is more important than what finishing product you apply.

I've used just about every tire dressing under the sun and the best one I've used is GYEON Tire Q². It's a SiO2-based solution that works incredibly well. For best results, I heat up the tire wall before and after application. It's also not necessary to reapply after every wash. It tends to last for a little while between applications, YMMV.
