Hah thanks for saying hi, I had a ride in the Taycan on the track... what an insane machine.

Couldn’t agree more! PECLA was/is such an awesome experience that I Willis recommend everyone do… especially at $500. Not sure about $2,000 but I guess I’ll cross that bridge when I pick up the next one.

cheers and safe travels

I have to agree that picking up your new car at a PEC is a fantastic experience. We picked up our CGTS in 2018 at PEC-ATLANTA and loved every moment of the event. From being picked up at the airport, to the gourmet lunch, the tour of the museum, the awesome reveal and of course the time on the track. It’s interesting to see the difference between PEC-LA and PEC-ATL. In ATL the instructor is in the car with you on track and when you sign the posterity board, it is a white board mounted on a wall (see picture below). It is such a shame that Porsche raised the price of this fantastic experience to $2000. At $450 it was a huge bargain.

Congrats and enjoy your new car.
Nice! The cost for me was a little over $1000. I was told the pricing model has changed where it's not a flat rate any more but it's the actual cost of the track time / logistics in the car being delivered but I agree $450 was a steal!

Congrats on the car, looks great. Are you going to track it locally?

Thanks! I've tried PECLA twice and I get really dizzy, maybe because it's really tight with lots of turns. I think HPDE is next for me, then maybe I'll explore a bigger track once I get more familiar with the car.

Come out to Buttonwillow with Speed District, it's a great run group and fun track. Right now it's way too hot to track so I'll be back on the track in late Sept/early Oct when the weather is cooler.

Pretty sure it sold on BAT for close to MSRP.... also when did moving a car on when you have a new car incoming become "flipping"?

Back OT, beautiful car Skafia. I always thought Riviera was close to Shark Blue based on photos too, but that DSLR pic is way lighter, looks awesome. Did you add any CXX items to the interior of this car?

FWIW, I looked at hundreds of pics of shark blue leading up to taking delivery of my GT4, and I was surprised just how much better it was in real life. Phone pics definitely seem to mess with the saturation, and also don't capture the depth of the gloss.

Well it was 110 at Buttonwillow this weekend. I was actually dumb enough to go tracking about 15 years ago during the summer and it was like 105. With the helmet on and the windows down it felt like my head was roasting and I was sweating like a pig even in shorts and a t-shirt. I could not focus on the lines and was just thinking when is this session over and I can go inside the building with AC. I love to track in the winter when it's nippy cold...throw a sweatshirt on and turn the heater on plus the car feels like it got a little spritz of NOS.

For whatever reason we didn't focus on interior pictures during delivery, but I snapped some today after installing Ed Guard bolster covers (sorry the lighting was bad in my garage).

And car poke's license plate mount ^

Thanks so much for the kind words. Unfortunately I missed the CXX window so didn't get to add any. In retrospect it saved me a lot of money!

Riviera is lighter than Shark and Voodoo is a shade darker/saturated than Shark.

I believe halfmonkey has a Spyder in the same color. In darker conditions it could look like another color, but in perfect conditions it's much brighter than Shark and Miami for sure
