Wow, what a great story so eloquently told!
Yes, this is your car. It's going to get great care and enjoyed to the max while I own the Spyder...which will be for a long time.
I always wondered how this car ended up for sale at Napleton, now I know. Such a great spec. Thank you for chiming in with the "rest of the story"
Cheers,
Chris

Got the car up Hwy 74 yesterday for the first dry day since the mods. One of my favorite Porsche roads that just beg you to push harder in a Spyder.
I forgot how amazing the level of grip is with this car.

Snow on the desert floor
Day 5 of the Spyder car trip out in the California desert.
Woke up to pouring rain and high winds that would not let up.
We opted to leave the Spyder parked in the garage and take the rain car (2002 996 C4S) on shopping errands and an In & Out Burger run.
Rain would not let up and eventually turned to snow. Pretty amazing to see it snow in Palm Springs, CA at elevation 479 ft., with temps just above freezing. it should be 75 deg F this week!
The snow made for a lot of fun photos and amazement by the locals.
Once storm cleared, we jettisoned back down the 10, and grabbed the Spyder for a quick, dry pavement run before Sunset. Rest of week should improve, which means more driving and Signal Yellow posts.

Did a father-Son trip in the Spyder a few weeks ago. I'm blessed to have a Dad that is young, fit and always game for almost anything, and most importantly still around.
My Dad has owned some cool Porsche's and BMW's back in the day, including a 964 C2 lowered & tuned. We met up in the California desert and did 4 days of driving, eating/drinking, relaxing by the pool,a trip to the coast and back to the desert (chasing good weather, it was May gray over in Carlsbad), and visiting with good Porsche friends. It was a fantastic trip and Dad loves the Spyder, even did ok with the seats. Probably good I don't have LWBS.

Just before the end of the trip, I had my transporter meet me to load up the Spyder and my 2008 Boxster S Ltd Ed for the trip back to Colorado.
Best part of this was flying home Saturday evening and having cars delivered Sunday morning. Rarely does it work out this well, and the timing was perfect as the good summer weather has finally arrived in Southern Colorado.
A few shots from loading, delivery, and the drive up to elevation Sunday morning. Great to have the Spyder home for the summer, loving this car more and more with every drive!

More Dawn Patrol...
Up early and out before sunrise today with @Assad Jarrahian up and over Hwy 550 to Coal Bank Pass, Molas pass, and Silverton and back. One of the best Porsche roads in the country with majestic scenery.
These Porsche's got a workout and we had a blast!
