Tilted LWBS
Hey guys,
was wondering if any of you run brackets to tilt the LWBS. If so do you like this mod and what brand model did you use.
Thanks

Seems to be a lot of talk about the topic.

Drifting
I bought the Designs by Jacob ones. I haven't installed them yet as my car unfortunately has been at the dealership service center a bunch. But if my car is able to be driven then i will install these.

I installed TrackSpec seat recliner and very happy with the result.

I always use the ones from TPC.....really well made and the tilt is just right. Only downside is you have to take out the seat.

I've used them on the same LWBS in a few GT cars.
I have a set ready to go once the 4RS arrives.

I got the design by jacob ones. Nice tilt. Seat feels better with a hans. Downside is it put me too far away from the steering wheel. And short of going aftermarket for the wheel I can’t get it in a good position when tilted back. So I removed them.

I tried them for better helmet/Hans fitment but found the position uncomfortable for regular driving. Instead I got the P1 designs thicker back cushions which helped with track use.

Slightly off topic but does anyone make seat-lowering kits for the other seats such as the 2 way?

I had the DBJ ones but they didn't fit very well, swapped to trackspec and those fitted perfectly and work great. A must have mod if you ever wear a helmet in your car.

Had the DBJ brackets in my 981 and opted for the TPC in my 718. Both are equally effective, I just felt like the seat rail method that DBJ, TrackSpec, etc. use runs the risk of a bolt undoing itself over time. Now, will it happen? Honestly probably not, but at the same time it was always something in the back of my head, so the second time around I opted for the TPC bracket which tilts the entire seat shell itself.

I installed DBJ spacers and perfect for me at 5'10'. Ample adjustment with steering wheel moving in and out and seat back and forth. HANS is now comfortable with neck angle.
I have the Quest items in my 981 and they work well too.

Track Day
Got the ones from Designs by Jacob. I think they're easiest to install since you don't have to remove the seats. Gives a much better seating position plus you're not hunching down when you have your helmet on. Highly recommend it.

Are you super tall or something? I am at the limit of the steering wheel reach with mine so I can imagine someone with longer legs might have a problem.
