Default Post pics of your racing stripes please!

Hi I am thinking of getting some stripes for my black 718 Spyder. I was thinking that having a dedicated thread for racing stripes for the 4.0s would help me and others decide on what
colour/ stripe pattern looks best So I am requesting ricing stripe pics please! Also some thing to look at as my baby sits in my dark cold garage during winter 🥶!

Whichever direction you take... this site has the cheapest offerings that I have found to date.
https://renndecals.com/collections/t...8-side-stripes

I'd rock the Silver Side Stripes on your car to tie in your Silver Wheels.

Thanks for the link… yes definitely thinking silver and maybe some red pin striping to compliment the red callipers and seatbelts… need to decide if I am going side or hood and back bubbles though… and if hood centre or off set… so many choices - pics please! TIA!

Here are the ones from my 981 Spyder that were on the car when I bought it from Porsche San Diego. Done by an outfit called Modern Image in Mira Mar. I'm going to replicate them on my 718 as soon as I find the best complementary color.

not really a racing stripe, and also not a Spyder but hopefully this gives a slight idea?

I'm so glad you started this so that I can follow and see more 718's with stripes. I'm thinking about striping my guards red 2023 Cayman GTS but I'm wondering if I should do the rear spoiler or would it look odd? I like the single stripe that comes to a V just beyond the crest extending all the way back through the car. My next question is I just had the car ppf'd at all the critical points and now I'm wondering if the stripe is going to look odd to have a decal that goes over ppf Hood and then over the paint on the roof and then back over the rear deck ppf? And maybe the spoiler? Lastly some of those decals don't account for the satellite antenna and I'm wondering how difficult they are to apply? Maybe when other people show their 718 stripers they can shed some additional thoughts as well.

My entire car is PPF'd so no seams anywhere. That being said my decals were put on over the PPF and as long as the parts that are covered aren't showing any seams, i don't think anyone will notice. As far as install goes, my PPF installer did the decals for means so for places like the badge and the antenna he removed those, cut out the small hole and then replaced them. That way you can't see any cuts or anything.

amazing - I was never sure about python green on the Spyder but on the GT4 especially with the accents and aurum wheels - looks killer… but why do you say not a racing stripe?

Haha I've always imagined racing stripes to be the double. But you're right, it is a racing stripe.

Thanks. While I like the way the front stripes look on the car just fine, it was how the fat rear stripes broke up all that paint on the rear deck that really drew me in. My Carrara White 981 Spyder had silver accents that looked great IMHO and I'm now trying to find the right color to accent the black on my chalk 718 Spyder. I'm leaning toward Avery Dennison SW900-215-M as a decent match to the Aurum wheels. It's pretty much the only wrap material I've found that even comes close.

Something like this:

This thread reminds me of a recent thread somewhere else on the forum, I believe it was in the GT3 section that made mention of a company coming out with a kit for the GT4RS hood and wing (top and bottom) stripe.

I’ve gone back to search for the thread without success.

Anyone know the vendor or have a link to the thread?
