Are those of you applying these decals applying over PPF, or do you not have PPF? I tried to get some lighter silver GTS 4.0 badges on the side that matched the factory's dark platinum that's really more of a grey, but they didn't survive more than a couple washes. I figured it was PPF + Ceramic. I did not want to re PPF the doors after the decals went on. I'm guessing some of the prep stage would strip or remove some of the Ceramic coating and provide better adhesion. I do love the ghost stripe on the yellow car, and would look great on my Gentian GTS as a subtle accent.

It's the ceramic coating. You will need to remove it for the adhesive to actually grab.
You didn't think applying a side door decal that read "SPYDER" would have been more fitting??
Even adding a red stripe in place of the yellow to tie in the calipers.
Calipers are been powder coated in Yellow and has Spyder on the brakes it has Yellow bold stitching interior hence the yellow pin stripe to tie in.

I get how the Yellow ties in… but you can not tie in a GT4 decal on a beautiful SPYDER. The decal literally makes no sense on this car.
Replace it with a PORSCHE triple stripe door decal, with yellow top and bottom stripes, and silver lettering - FIRE!!!
My stripes were installed over ceramic coated PPF (by a pro) and I have had no issues.
Your installer either has a weaker ceramic coating or they are removing the ceramic via light polishing. I have Feynlab on my car and nothing will stick to it... Tried all types of films and tapes.
What is the verdict on what brand/type/color that matches Satin Aurum wheels?

I’ve been toying around with the idea of getting door or rocker panel decals in matte gold, in combination with a matte gold center strip. I did install a matte black PORSCHE triple stripe to the doors, but It didn’t do it for me, I removed them the next day; which is why Im hesitant to try another combination. I think my issue with the door decals was the incomplete look… only taking up 2/3rds of the side of the car. Putting a full decal can only be done on the rocker panel, but I haven’t seen enough examples on 718’s with this done to get a feel for what it will look like.
I installed mine over PPF (no ceramic on my film)- quick panel prep wipe down, and the adhesion was fine. Installing decals under PPF makes them more permanent, and its very costly to remove PPF, just to have it reinstalled.
