These online enthusiasts all get mixed reviews by the audience . . . to be expected

I personally think Chris is the very best personality out there when it comes to 'car talk' and reviews

As far as his GT3 goes, I do not have all the tea in China either . . . GT4 is my first world problem

The buying process is generally horrible and it almost ruins the entire experience, they're lucky the cars are so amazing. The moment they're not, look out. Sounds like he got jerked around, like the rest of us LMAO. The Car Guys also had a similar experience with Porsche in the UK.

How true this is. I didn't even have a particularly bad experience, but overall buying my GT4 was more of a hassle than buying my Supra or M2C for that matter. And while my GT4 is 3 times the price of those cars, I really didn't expect it to also be 3 times the hassle. Its so true though that as soon as I started driving my car all of those annoyances disappeared, but man I do wish the buying process was easier.

My Spyder was my 5th Porsche and 4th from the same dealer and same salesperson. The entire experience was super smooth.

Same with our Audi vehicles. Between my wife and I, we have owned 10 Audis. Every one from the same dealer and same salesperson. Everything goes super smooth and we get all sorts of perks now. When my wife had an issue with a bad fuel injector on her previous S3 only a few weeks after delivery, Audi offered to replace the whole car with another one in dealer stock. We also basically name our price. We don't try to low-ball the dealer and they never try to gouge us. Got my Spyder at MSRP.

You shouldn't need to spend a million dollars in purchases to be treated like a valued customer. I'm glad your experiences have been good, and that you didn't have to be a first time buyer in this market.

you are lucky that your porsche dealer has even offered to sell you 5 cars. Many places dealers dont even offer customers 1 car not named a macan and cayenne right now.

Ultimately the end transactions are done with dealers, which are mostly privately owned.
The company that sell your car and the company that makes the car are normally two different entities.
Porsche corporate has training and procedures etc for the dealers, but that doesn't stop the dealer being a gateway to the cars going to their head
thinking they are an arm of Porsche themselves.

My SA has been awesome to me, always pleasant to deal with and very transparent.
I'm glad Harris called out Reading publicly for their antics

Well, it's just a neutered GT3, so. . .
Porsche probably didn't want to see someone driving a GT4RS like a *** on the Insta?

More likely is the dealer had a better offer...... I think Porsche themselves like seeing him in their cars, he's a fan and an owner.

....on a closed course by one of the most respected motor journalists around? yeah, I'm sure that was it.

I usually get annoyed when people get **** for who they are, but in this case, i think it’s warranted.

Wow, you know it's bad when someone like Chris Harris gets treated like that by a dealer. And that right there is the problem, dealers misbehaving. It would be nice if Porsche would step in and rein some of these stealers in a bit. I'm very fortunate that I have a good dealer that I've been working with for 6 years.

I have basically eliminated the word "should" from my vocabulary. Repeat loyal customers deserve to get perks. All of life is a negotiation. I provide continuous business to my sales people and they reciprocate by giving me good deals and service.

After getting me an allocation for my built to spec RS5 at MSRP when Audi RS cars were going for 5-15k above MSRP, I took my salesperson out for a nice lunch. My wife brings fresh baked goods to the service department every time she goes in. Take care of people and they will take care of you.

OPC Reading is also the HQ of PC GB ... so it not "just" a dealership being uncooperative its the PAG subsidiary in the UK ... I'm a little surprised that Chris and the like don't just pick up the phone and call AP - with the media access Harris has its hardly good PR that for the "price of an allocation" could not be "cheap" marketing...
