Raceseng Stratos Knob + Numeric Installed

I personally went with the golf ball ****. Still on the stock shift mechanism otherwise - and with the ball lowered as far as I can mount it on the shaft, it definitely shortened up the throw (simply by fact of it being shorter)... and with the weighted ****, it makes a huge improvement to shift feel.
The Numeric stuff is awesome (had it in my last race car) but if you want to step up incrementally, the Raceseng weighted **** makes a big difference.

Thanks! I was watching this one, but was a little confused when he was removing the collar(?) insert and mentioned zip ties for it? I wasn't certain this was because he damaged it or if it was normal.

Yep, its not as tricky as he makes out. He kinda messed it up in the middle. Its a very simple DIY. Just make sure you get the boot stitching aligned, as I got mine a bit off and had to move the zip tie a bit.

I agree. The raceseng vid is really all you need. I always somehow hurt myself doing installs like this and I had no issues. Obsessed garage also did things slightly out of order which in the end I think made it harder for him as far as alignment of the text. The shift **** also didn't seem as hard to pull off as obsessed garage made it seem.

Stock shift **** super easy to pull off. Twist right under the **** and pull up. The boot comes with it lol.
One od the DIY videos for the numeric stated to remove the top of the trim for center console. I did not do that, its just too risky to bend or break the trim. No need to do it. Just lift up and remove the whole top portion of the center console.
Very easy DIY overall. Just have someone help you to hold the screen when you remove the lower heating and cooling portion.

In the meantime, you might want to check if there are any adjustments you can make to the shifter boot or its mounting to alleviate the tightness. It could be a simple matter of readjusting the position of the boot or making some minor modifications to ensure a proper fit.
If you need further assistance or have any other questions, feel free to let me know!
