After various readings here or there, I found a solution that works.
I first tried cartlinkit 4. Failed in my case...while for others it works.
I then bought an ottocast u2 x pro and there it worked from the 1st try. I finally have wireless android auto. I am happy.
Thank you for your posts which have helped me a lot.

I need some help. I have activated apple carplay and android auto using the latest MIB on 2022 718 gt4. However, I still do not see the android auto or Apple car play button in my home screen. Do l need to do anything else to get them working? Thanks in advance.

You know the button only shows when a phone is plugged into the usb ports, right? It won't show until then.

@planolemans Did you try some other cables? Android or Apple?
That is the same version that I run, I note that you don't show any NAV database version, does OEM NAV work, it should have been enabled by AIO as well. There is a screen in GEM that shows if they are turned on, see if the AIO version of GEM has this screen available.

AA is very sensitive about cables, I bought myself a Motorola wireless AA adapter to plug into the USB in the glove box and it's a lot nicer this way. Only downside is that the phone doesn't charge but using quite a bit of power while wirelessly connected.
