Default Cayman windshield washer reservoir

Quick question for our Cayman GTS experten. I had the 2nd annual maintenance check done on my 2021 Cayman GTS today and about 8 hours after getting home I was out in the garage and noticed a puddle about 18" wide under the car behind the left front wheel. I sopped it up and noticed that it foamed a bit when I cleaned it up and had a slight Windex type smell to it which makes me think it is washer fluid. The invoice from the dealer did show a top off of the reservoir. I opened the filler cap and it was wet inside the screen, but no fluid was visible at the very top of the funnel nor was any spillage visible around the filler cap. The funk and drivers door side footwell are dry.
My question is: Does the tank have an overflow function, and this is what I am seeing or possibly could the washer tank itself be leaking. The car is garaged and has 2900 miles on it, so it is pretty new for a tank failure, but one never knows.
TIA,
Pat D

The puddle is typical. I think a very full reservoir overflows when you drive around. Mine did it when very new, hasn't done it since, but my reservoir has been less full ever since.

Definitely something to look out for anytime anyone goes near the washer reservoir. It will leak for a day or two and you won't think about it til next time. Normal.

Yep. As above. If the bottle is filled above the neck it will leak. Totally Normal.

I tell them not to put any fluid in when I get service. The fluid leaks out and weeps all over the rocker panel. And the more g forces you subject it to the worse it leaks. I actually bought a pump recently to suck it all out. Unless you’re driving in an area with possible inclement weather I find there’s no use for the fluid.

I would term it as a "known defect" rather than calling it "normal", my other cars don't leak 🤣

Jim Rockford-that is good advice, after 2 days it is still dribbling out on my garage floor.
lowbee I bet Porsche would call this "known defect" (and I agree it is) a "feature"

It is ‘self-adjusting’ to the proper level depending on driving conditions to achieve optimal vehicle weight distribution.
