yes it did. My car arrived in the states on the 9th and left the Port on the 12th. That being said had i not done PEC delivery, the car would have been delivered to Oklahoma as thats the dealership i got the car from. Then i would have needed to schedule transport and pay out of pocket. So in the end i probably would have only recieved the car maybe a week or 2 sooner but i'd also be down 1100$ so the "delay" was worth it to me.

I ended up doing a "make up" PEC delivery about a year after taking delivery of my car (which would have been delayed for several months had I not had it diverted to my dealer instead) in addition to the
make up delivery I also booked an additional track experience ... made a day of it.
I would have driven my car home too ...
I highly recommend it over dealer delivery esp for the price!
<---< however the ideal is euro delivery ... cant beat that!

Yup driving back! Doing it for a few reasons. 1. I've always wanted to do the delivery experience. 2. This helps take care of the majority of the break-in period. 3. It'll be a good first test to see how well the car does on road trips.
Honestly you should do it. There really isnt a reason not to unless you want to save 900$ but honestly its totally worth the price in my opinion. And for a car this special i really wanted the full porsche experience.(well as much as i can get).
I've watched plenty of standard Porsche dealership delivery videos to understand that really the only difference between picking up a Porsche vs picking up something like a Toyota, is that the car is covered. Thats really it. Personally that felt like cheapening the experience for me. And with the LA PEC so close, i really wanted to make sure this was a special occasion. Its the first time i've ever purchased a car this expensive before and this is basically my dream car so i felt it was worth it.

weather is not looking good for this coming weekend, so I propose we just do this when the next PCA-GGR "boxster brunch" is scheduled: https://pca-ggr.org/event/boxster-br...stance_id=1314

Really looking forward to this. Car should be out of the shop with PPF on the 27th. Almost like a second delivery after my initial delivery. @BabyNSX got to see my car right before it went into the shop. Excited to finally see some Spyders up close and personal!

excellent - see you all on the 4th - do you just want to meet at Alice's (PCA GGR Boxster Brunch) or go with the original plan of a drive looping around 1 & 92, (is the sink hole fixed yet)?

Meeting at Alice's might be the safest option. AFAIK 92 is still partially closed between 1 and Skyline.

I like the original plan of driving up to Alice's however I am also unsure which roads are open. Gives us all a chance to mingle a bit and check out each others cars before heading out. Rather than meeting up at an area that's usually really packed and having to try to find everyone else and then meet up.
