Full Bucket seat stop ordering for GT4
#76
It seems this same thing happened with the 981 back in 2015. The seats were on stop order for I think 6 weeks (someone can correct that). It also seems that if your order was submitted and approved prior to the stop order you were still going to get them. Here is a cut a paste from a thread back from 2015 (see below). It's from another forum... and of course everything online is not fact... but figured I'd share. I'm hoping that those of us with orders already approved and in the system will be grandfathered. I'm also hoping this stop order is short lived.
"If you had them specced before the order stop went into effect and your build was already approved, you're still getting them (barring extenuating circumstances)"

There may be a difference between "stop order" and "not available" etc. In the case of 2015, it seemed it was a stop order on any new orders prior to a cut off date. If an order was already in (v200) they still got the seats (apparently). This is all speculation on the present situation though. I'm not talking to my GM until mid week next week once he is back in office... but if anyone else gets more information from their SA's or dealerships I'm sure they will update the thread.

I reached out to my SA this morning. My build is scheduled to lock on 11/28. I thought it might have locked early because My Porsche updated to “2/4 -Scheduled for Production” a couple of weeks ago. My SA said the seats are on stop order now, but won’t affect my build. He checked and confirmed the build still had the buckets. He also said build should lock any day (so, maybe it hasn’t locked yet?).
Would I bet my life my Spyder will arrive with buckets? No, but I feel relatively assured it will.

Checked with my SA, he said he doesn't see anything regarding the stop sale or my build being affected. I received my allocation on 11/9. It was originally supposed to lock on 12/16 with estimated delivery on 3/3, but was moved up this week to 12/5 lock and 2/17 delivery.

Those are potentially good updates for those of us with at least v200. Guess we will just have to see how this plays out. This whole buying experience has caused me a lot of anxiety already. I'm sure all worth it once you take that first drive... FWPs

Noob apologies here, but what does V200 mean? Sorry if I went passed it already. My build is in (GT4) but doesn’t lock (no more changes) until Jan. with a Feb build date. LWB’s for mine as well.

V200 basically means you have an allocation. If you have a TYD then you are good I believe. Can you post your dates?

Thanks! I will have to check with my SA for exact dates. But it was def a Feb build. My TYD welcome email was 11/08...but i can’t find dates on TYD, just the order created “milestone date” of 11/24.

Would you mind letting us know if/when it reverts back on Monday? I also want to make two very small changes to mine before it locks, but am a bit hesistant to mess with anything right now since I’d much rather have the seats than the other changes.

will do my best. My SA is crazy busy so I hate bothering them but hopefully it will be good to go. If it gets rejected I would hope that the build just stays what it previously was accepted as? So not sure if any harm in trying to add options? I honestly have no idea though just a blind guess.

I should add that I made a couple changes about a week ago. Subtracted folding mirrors, added white chrono face to match gauges. Maybe added auto dim mirrors, I can’t remember! Lol. I will check with SA Monday.
