With the 3RS, 4RS and the upcoming Spyder RS, Buckets are standard... so between that and production closing down for the GT4 and Spyder after 2023MY... I wouldn't expect them to come back. Sucks! I had a Spyder allocation and turned it down.

A bummer for sure … sorry to hear this.
That being said, you should drive one with the “sofas” and see what you think. I’d argue it’s the 4.0 and the rest of the driving experience that make this car special. Seats can be substituted, but I’d argue the rest of the car cannot. Hope you still go for it 👍

It would not be a deal killer for me and I'm sure a dialed in 18 way seat is very secure... and the experience isn't only in the seats... but urgh man I love those seats... I've spent quite a bit of time in my friend's GT4 and they fit me very well.
When the LED's were gone it was unknown for how long, and they came back with a good alternative. I'm going to have hope that it's not the end of the bucket seats... I've got plenty of time before my freeze date for more changes. Hopefully good changes haha...

And I'd have no desire to do a CXX interior anymore, which also drastically changes the appeal of the whole build. This has been the most stressful and annoying car experience I've ever had in two decades (yes, a true first world problem but not one I should be having when spending nearly 200k CAD on a new toy). I really hope it will be worth it, otherwise I may have to look back to the 997 GT3 market instead. Or just get out of the sports car hobby altogether and put my money elsewhere.
End rant.

Bose is still available on the Spyder but since the buckets may not be I'd option the upgraded B'ster stereo instead as a "trade off"... I originally wanted to go that route but felt it was a bit expensive an option. The current LED option (PDLS) are fine and I wasn't loosing sleep over that - they only lack auto highbeam which isn't in any way a deal killer.
The main allure of this car to me is the engine, steering, suspension and looks. I'd take one even with 0 options...it's a great car with or without... but it is a bummer when you've been planning, drooling and dreaming of a specific configuration.
First world problems they are.

That stinks for folks who have their hearts set on LWBs, on top of PDLS+ already taken away. I did my part by ordering my GT4 with base heated seats, although it was suggested to me that I should have ordered the car with the LWBs, sold them for a profit and then bought a like new used pair of base seats. It seems like there are like new used LWBs for sale on eBay and other places, so maybe people are really doing that, and it could be an option for those who want LWBs in their car.

That's very much the camp that I'm in at the moment. After a long wait, I only found out 2 weeks ago that I got an allocation, however not being able to have the buckets, I'm now torn. I've followed the used car market closely for the past 18 months in case I didn't get an allocation and the right spec came along, and even if it had all the options I wanted except the buckets, it was a hard pass.
