Default Help! License plate mount dimples on MY23 Spyder???

Hey guys - I lucked into a really great car yesterday, worked what turned into a pretty great deal and bought it today!!

I saw it yesterday all wrapped up having just come off the truck and then went back today to check it out, found a couple things that were disappointing - 1. A small ding by drivers door handle, it’ll come out with PDR but still sucks.
2. There are two dimples in the paint in front bumper. It looks like someone started to put a plate mount on. The dealer is saying they’re coming like that from the factory now? Has anyone heard of this?? The only reason I almost believe it is the placing is perfect and the marks almost look to clean to have just been a screw or the back of the mount. Trying to decide how to proceed.

I didn’t get a close up photo but will tomorrow.

I can’t see the dimples zooming in on the photo but maybe more obvious in person?

Curious how the dent occurred. Was it delivered to them like that?

My 23 GT4 is currently getting PPF, but I believe it has two tiny dimples on the front bumper as well, so this may be a factory thing...

The dimples are on all the cars...I have them on my Spyder.

Thanks for the quick feedback guys. Seems they’re normal, had never noticed them on any others before so hopefully I’ll forget about them.

Not sure about the door ding, of course they say something about transport. Really hope it comes out ok. I didn’t take a good photo of that either, was just too excited about the car overall I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Dimples on front bumper are from factory. My car has them as well. If you pay close attention the paint is not damaged, if someone had started drilling them the paint would have come off. Congrats and enjoy the car in good health!

Thanks for this thread. I was always annoyed by those on my Spyder, and am now somewhat less annoyed knowing that they are from the factory.

Congrats! That color combo was my initial choice for mine too! I've since changed my mind 5-10 times and settled on SB... but still like it!
Enjoy the car!!! These are gems and truly special vehicles to be appreciated. Very soon they will no longer be, classics they will become.

Yes, small bumper dimples are normal and I used them to approixmate the centre of the bumper when mounting my Carbonio no-drill plate system.

Can you have a PDR guy take the dimples out?

must have happened after it left the PoE since this would have been caught when they did the PDI before releasing to the dealer...

No, they’re molded into the bumper material…
