Yes...for any serious track alignment I would say the rear toe links allow you to reach the needed camber and toe in.....it really helps extend tire life.
No DSC...yet!

Great writeup. Mine arrived at my dealer today and hoping to pick up end of next week. Will probably do the same geo as you've done with just the rear toe arm links and front Motorsport RS camber plates and only use the minimum shims. Are your brakes OEM Steel or PCCBs ? Mine are on Steels due to part shortages and will just upgrade pads and brake fluid for track use.

I had a go yesterday with fresh DUNLOPs on track. Lap times are virtually the same vs CUP 2s. Difference is marginal. But in fairness to the DUNLOPS, yesterday was hotter than the track days I did with CUP2s.
Also changed sway bars to front SOFT + rear HARD. Made the car a bit more oversteery, its not a significant difference but still I prefer it better.

Sounds slow.

@jmartpr Thank you for the write up. Does the AP kit fit the stock wheels?

Yes...AP has a GT4RS specific Kit contrary to PFC, which was my original plan in order to use 18" wheels.
The PFC on the GT4 requires a 7 mm spacer, no biggie, but with CL on the 4RS this is a no-go.
The AP kit weight a little bit more and requires 19" minimum but I do gain the ability to swap pads without taking out the caliper.
I test fitted their template against the OEM forged wheels and there's ample space between caliper barrel and spokes.
Both kits are great anyway....

I agree...we are splitting hairs Dunlop vs Michelin but I would give the Dunlops a slight advantage in dry traction or at least they felt slightly better/more confidence inspiring than MPSC2.
As for sway bars I plan to keep them middle / middle....the car never understeered in my case. I find more of a problem finding traction coming out of some corners due to poor surface/track conditions.

Steel as my original plan was to replace the whole system so I can downsize wheels/tires...….but pads, fluid and SS lines should be enough.

I have DSC installed on my car, definately recommend if you want a softer ride. With the default file, the fronts were soft enough to bottom out the car on bumps it didn't use to, so had to stiffened them up a bit. Can't speak to how the module will help track performance, no track days on the car yet.

Hi all,

Just finished to setup my GT4 RS for my first trackday coming soon.
What has been installed? Girodiscs front and rear rotors (408mm and 380mm) along with Endless pads all around. I have also done a full alignment with the help of Immocars rear camber plates + Clubsport rear toe link and 991.2 RS inverted front camber plates. As a result I have -3.2 front, 2mm toe in / -2.6 rear 3 mm toe in. The benefit of the camber plates is that you need less spacers on the lower arms (10mm rear and 14mm front).

Immocar rear camber plates

Clubsport toe link

991.2 GT3 RS camber plates vs stock (991.2 GT3) plates

Very good. These are the parts the 4RS should have come with from the factory.

RS/Clubsport/Offset top mounts front and rear, and fully adjustable rear toe links.

I’m really surprised that Porsche didn’t include, as this would be have been further statement of intent. But nevertheless, you can put a package together pretty easily.

Would any of those upgrades (camber plates, motorsport toe links) alter the driving of the car on the street/road?
What about the camber settings discussed here?

It all comes down to the alignment/settings....if you do a 100% track setup with toe out front and lots of camber then you compromise street manners and tire life.
But you could find a middle ground as these cars don't come optimized from the factory.
The parts are your way to achieve those new settings

32-35 psi hot a reasonable target for casual open lap day on 4RS with OE Dunlop Maxx Race 2 tires? Same pressure F & R? I'm more used to running PS4S on my Turbos with rears 2-3 psi more than the fronts.

Stock alignment, shortish track.

do we know the spring rates on the 4RS? swift springs saved tires on the gt4 as camber alone wasn't enough but made it a crap ride on the street.
