Default 2022 Boxster GTS Spare Tire Kit

I’ve searched all over ebay to find a spare tire kit for my 2022 Boxster GTS. Suncoast parts price is ridiculous. If anyone out there knows where I can find AN EXACT FIT, please let me know. Thanks If you see something out there i missed on ebay please send link. the ones i found are for older models with no guarantee they’ll fit a 2022 boxster GTS.

I had a spare wheel/tire from a 2002 Boxster (986) that I kept in the basement in case I ever got a flat in my '11 Carrera S. A year ago I replaced that car with a new '22 Cayman GTS 4.0, and the spare from the 986/996 doesn't clear the hard brake line on the GTS. I looked at alternatives, including the spare from EZsparewheel (https://ezsparewheel.com/pages/retail) and Suncoast (https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/PK981SPARE.html). What I ended up ordering was about half the price, thanks to some closeout deals from Tire Rack:
  • Sport Edition Cup 4 wheel, 19x8.5", Silver Painted, 54mm Offset (Special/Closeout), $125.82
  • Bridgestone Turanza LS100, 235/40R19, 2018 Production (Special/Closeout), $131.86
  • Tax $15.47, PA State Fee $1.00, Total $274.15
So for ~$275, I have a spare wheel/tire that I keep in the basement in case of emergency. Most of my Porsche driving is done solo and within an hour of home, so my wife would be my "recovery vehicle" (and that's only if the tire repair kits that I carry don't work). I hope to never need to use it, but it's always best to be prepared for the worst!

It is irritating how few cars share the 5 x 130 bolt pattern. And the 986 spare (on a 17” wheel) is just a tiny bit too small; it would fit with an 18” wheel, but I can’t find a suitable candidate from another manufacturer.

Looks like there *might* be some 20” Bentley options from more recent cars, but I’m having trouble finding used copies that I’m confident aren’t the earlier VW wheel bolt spacing.

The Cayenne/Q7 19” wheel might fit, but I don’t need something 6.5” wide. And the tire is way too big, and do normal tires fit on those rims in place of the foldable Vredesteins?

Anyway, I’d buy the Panamera 19” spare wheel but at $500-700 for just the wheel it’s stupid expensive. And the spare kit from Suncoast is insulting, at $1800.

So, I ordered the Ez spare unit. We’ll see how it looks/works. At $470 delivered it’s expensive but not outrageous.

EZ Spare came; fits well. Takes up a lot of trunk space but then again I expected as much. I’d prefer an 18 or 19” wheel just to cut the weight down, but this will do.

I have a tire tote for that, just in case. But yeah, when it happened on my 987 I just stuck the flat in the passenger seat.
