Default Anyone want to swap my 18 ways for Buckets?

I found a car that meets all my needs but has 18 ways and i want the buckets. Anyway want to trade? I'd throw cash on top of it of course. These are out of a 2022 with silver stitching and have 1700 miles on them.
The car is currently in ATL but will be in Dallas soon.

You should post in the marketplace also.

You should include what trim and stitching.

Can this even be done? What about wiring harnesses?

I assumed so, is this an issue? I've seen others swap them back and forth in the 981s. Are we too advanced now?

AFAIK most 18 ways are optioned heated. That implies that the control panel including those switches need to swapped as well. That IIRC requires PIWIS programming. $$$$ are adding up quickly.

I didn't even consider that but I have a shop here in Dallas that can do the programming. Hopefully i can find someone local that wants to swap. If not i'll buy Recaros and put these in boxes until i sell.

Just get the recaros and not waste your time or money here... noone is going to give up their LWBS without a ton of money. Anyone who has them is a fanatic about those seats...

Yeah you’re probably right. I’ll order up some on Monday and box these stock seats up.

Not to rain on your parade but I think that’s a tough sell. I had the same problem when I bought a low mileage 991 GT3 with base seats. I bought a set of Recaro pole position seats problem solved.

Just curious: do the Recaro Pole Position seats work with the stock 3-point belts?

I had some in my 996 that was just sold, they required some extenders but otherwise worked fine.
I’m hoping to find some buckets but if not I’ll order something and find a dealer to order me a 2023 specced how I want it.

Did you think of getting the Sparco SPX? Those seem pretty nice and maybe most comparable to Porsche LWBS.

Most Recaro buckets will need some sort of extender for the buckle since you cannot loop it into the hole. So you will want to buy one that does not use a metal bracket and one that uses the seatbealt/harness material instead so you can route it through the hole and clip your seat belt into the buckle.

from my experience installing these seats in previous cars, the Recaro Pole positions (specifically in leather) are the most comfortable. Sparco seats tend to have very thin seat cushions and while there are replacements, they just aren't that comfy imo. I personally find the LWBS to be the most comfortable out of all of them. Seat belt extenders are definitely required, but honestly at the end of the day its more function over form. The LWBS to me are a perfect blend of function and form.
