I’m in Aus, we are getting GT4 / 4RS builds and deliveries right now and throughout the second half of the year. I saw the list at the dealer last week. 1 Boxster S, 6 GT4, 10 GT4RS leading till December.
didn’t see a single GTS or Spyder…
Just what I saw, different markets of course.
on topic: I’ve seen a very low take up of the blue wheels and think that could lead them long term to be rare and desirable as it is very very specific to this model, possibly 3RS has the same wheels, making them even more special. Perhaps in the same way red wheels was an option on 997 GT3 RS.
Yup. But don’t see how that equates to the 4RS getting priority. US has been getting the other cars but no 4RSs.
I think the comment was global brother, not US. All cars are not the same and require different configurations in different markets. For example no more 992.1 GT3 allocations in my market, they are all but done for, but we know for a fact the are still producing plenty of them for other markets. You guys might still be getting GT4’s but the evidence shows GT4 / GTS allocations are scarce or at a
minmium comparable to combined 718 output compared with 4RS.

Ah, gotcha. We are behind the curve here for sure.

Blue wheels are tough as they only go well with a few colors. For the colors it does go with it takes a specific person to go for them. I could not pull the trigger on them personally. Sort of like Ruby Star, great color but not for me.

Looks like Latin America is not getting any GT4s/Spyders....first batch of GT4RS are due between October and November.

My comment was to highlight the fact that the factory has been busy being focused on the GT4 RS production for Europe/ROW and the existing Spyder/GT4 production has been non-existent. Makes total sense though and is expected to be more balanced soon. I would expect the same thing to happen when the Spyder RS kicks off as well.
