Theyre going to look at it my first service in august. I never noticed it, until I did lol. Hopefully they can improve it. Not worried about painted bolts on mounting brackets, I have touch up paint.

Yeah it is neat to have have a Built in Zuffenhausen car, but let's not pretend like that means higher build quality. My Zuffenhausen line car came from the factory without the driver-side power mirror plugged in. And neither the plant nor the dealer QA checks caught it...

My 2020 GT4 was built in Osnabruck. Fortunately it hasnt had recalls due to suspension bolts, rod bolt engine recalls, panel gap is perfect and it came with the dreaded Dunlap tires.I guess its only a 10% price reduction instead of the standard 20% applied to all P cars not built at the home factory.

Hoping this means I can get a GT4RS at msrp?

My first Boxster was built in Finland. Was as well built as any of the German built Boxsters my brother had (he used to work for Porsche GB and would get new Boxster every few months as company cars). I will admit I was a bit disappointed when I saw it wasnt a German built car, though.

I hope so too. Id really like to replace the 981CS I bought 9 years ago with a Gt4 or even GTS 4.0 but not having any luck being able to order one. I can get someone elses build for $30k over msrp but why pay a premium for something you dont spec?

What I'm reading about this, is that they won't be stopping ICE production of the 718 anytime soon.
It sounds like they will sell the current 718 up till end of 2024 and then switch over to the EV versions start of 2025.
What I am curious about is the statement of "the 718 series will be fully electrified". Does this include the Spyder/GT4? I wonder if they will stop selling those cars by 2025 and take a small break (like the GT3) and then come out with a new ICE platform for the next gen GT4. I only consider because the GT4 shares more parts with their 911 lineup than the rest of the 718 lineup and since we haven't heard of any plans of making the 911's fully EV anytime soon, I wonder if this means we get more GT4s. However at the same time it doesn't make sense to make a platform specifically for 1 model of car so from a cost perspective it wouldn't make sense. Who knows, I sure don't haha

I hope they keep the ICE version of Boxster going into 2025, I would like to order one in about 2 years from now. I probably would not be interested in a soulless electric version of the car. I really wanted to order a Boxster GTS4.0 right now, however not really willing to pay ADM and I need to replace my main daily driver first right now anyway. I will instead be ordering a 2023 BMW X5 45e which I can actually get at MSRP with no haggling, despite it being a pretty high demand vehicle (builds do take about 3 to 6 months to get right now though):

I thought I'd follow up on my panel gap complaint. The dealer adjusted it under warranty and it looks much better. I put some touch up paint on the bolts so it still looks good when you pop the hood. It isn't perfect, but I'd have never complained about it if it looked like this to begin with. One of those things once you see, you're screwed
